Description

This print was published in Le Charivari (November 2-3, 1865) as plate 16 from the series Parisian Sketches.
A vertically oriented lithograph in black ink depicts three light-skinned men at a table. On the left, a man wearing an apron leans forward with a tray. Beside him, a man in a tall top hat and heavy coat stares wide-eyed at a seated man on the right, who tilts his head back with his mouth open. Fine sketchy lines shade the figures, and French text is printed at the bottom.
