Description

This print (with title and captions added) was published in Le Charivari (October 20, 1845) as plate 15 from the series The Lawyers.
A horizontally oriented lithograph depicts three men with light skin tones in fine cross-hatching. On our left, a figure in dark robes and a cap slumps in a chair, eyes closed and mouth open. Their hands clasp over their midsection. On our right, a man with messy hair and wide eyes stands with arms crossed and bared teeth. Behind them stands a figure in dark uniform and tall hat. A large framed document hangs centrally.
