Description

This print was published both in the journal Le Boulevard (April 20, 1862) and in the album Souvenirs d’Artistes (plate 285).
A vertically oriented monochrome lithograph depicts six men with light skin tones in an artist's studio. On our left, a man reclines in a chair, facing a large canvas on an easel to our right. Behind him, a man stands with arms wide and mouth open. Others lean forward toward the work. An artist's palette sits on a stool at our left, while a small painting rests against the easel.
