A vertically oriented gum tempera and ink painting on paper depicts a woman with medium-light skin in profile facing right. A sheer, gold-bordered veil drapes over her dark hair, which cascades past her shoulders. She wears layered pearl necklaces and a pearl earring with a blue teardrop. Persian script is centered at the top and bottom of the mottled paper. Thin yellow and red borders frame the image.
