A horizontally oriented rectangular folio features dense rows of rhythmic black script, punctuated by red markings and shimmering gold highlights. Centered on the tan surface is a bold red circle. Symmetrical red vertical bands frame the central text, separating it from narrower side columns of finer calligraphy. In the lower left, dark staining and surface wear reveal the aged, tactile quality of this illuminated manuscript page.
