Description

Haribhadra lived in the 800s, and the final remarks to his commentary on the Ratnagunasamcaya-gatha were copied at the end of this manuscript. The Ratnagunasamcaya-gatha distills the teaching of the Sanskrit Perfection of Wisdom into Prakrit verses.
A long, horizontally oriented palm leaf features three dense blocks of dark calligraphic script. Written in black ink and gum tempera, the compact characters sit beneath continuous horizontal lines on a warm tan surface. Two circular binding holes are positioned between the columns. A worn left edge has a small yellow strip at the bottom, and the leaf tapers at the right. Fine black numbers sit above the central and right sections.
