A vertically oriented etching in fine black ink depicts a Venetian facade above a canal. In the foreground, a dark boat carrying a figure floats on reflective water. The building features three arched ground-floor openings; a person stands within the central doorway. Above, a balustraded balcony with draped cloth supports two figures on the right. Five arched windows with columns line the upper level. Sketchy lines create dense shadow against the light-toned stone.
