Description

These two phoenix birds made of thin gold foil have tiny holes all along their edges, suggesting that they were sewn on textiles.
Two beaten gold ornaments feature bird-like figures facing each other. Each thin, flat bird stands on spindly legs with wings spread wide, holding a flowering branch in its beak. Tail plumage curves upward in jagged plumes. Fine etched lines define the feathers, wings, and rounded flower buds throughout. The figure on the right mirrors the one on the left.
