Description

This print was published in Le Charivari (March 6, 1843) as plate 6 from the series The Musicians of Paris. The collection had first been published in La Caricature, between August and November, 1841.
A vertically oriented black ink lithograph depicts three people with light skin tones in an interior. In the foreground, a woman sits at a piano while a man leans over her. To the right, an older woman sits hunched over needlework. Soft hatching and shading define the patterned wallpaper and clothing. French text runs along the top and bottom.
