A vertically oriented oil painting depicts two cream-colored door panels framed by gilded molding. Stacked rectangular sections house symmetrical, muted-tan vignettes composed of figures in draped clothing, winged creatures and scrolling floral patterns. Within the central panels, vertical designs surround minute scenes and portraits in octagonal medallions. A small black handle sits at the center seam. The composition follows a rhythmic sequence of decorative registers, from the winged creatures above to the horizontal bands below.
