Description

This print was published in Le Charivari (July 23, 1852) as plate 7 from the series News of the Day.
A vertically oriented lithograph in black ink depicts three older men walking toward the right. Rendered with sketchy lines, they wear dark top hats and long coats. The men on the left and right hold walking sticks. The central figure has a furrowed brow, while the man on the right has one eye closed. French text and artist initials "h.D." appear below the scene, which is titled "ACTUALITES" at the top.
