This print was published in Le Charivari (April 6, 1869) as plate 64 from the series News of the Day.
A vertically oriented print in black ink on off-white paper depicts the front page of the newspaper Le Charivari. Below the masthead, an illustration shows a stout man standing behind a counter with several smaller figures at its base. The page is divided into three columns of text with various headings. A circular ink stamp marks the top right corner of the aged, slightly creased document.
