Description

This print was published in Le Charivari (January 7, 1856) as plate 260 from the series News of the Day.
A horizontally oriented black ink lithograph depicts a densely packed crowd. Centrally, a man with light skin tones wearing a dark top hat and coat faces our right, clutching a package. To his right, a figure in a bonnet gazes toward us. Closely packed people in hats fill the frame, surrounded by sketchy outlines of hanging objects in the background. Text below reads, "Aspect des boulevards pendant la foire aux bibelots."
