Description

This watercolor is a study for the figure of Christ in a stained glass window La Farge designed for the west wall of the north transept of Trinity Church in Boston.
A vertically oriented watercolor and gouache drawing depicts Christ, a man with light skin tone standing centrally in flowing white and lavender robes. He looks upward to our right with his right arm raised, palm outward, and his left arm extended at his side. He stands against a rectangular, bright blue background, surrounded by a wide, cream-colored margin featuring partial graphite lines.
