A bronze sculpture depicts a dark greenish-brown face with a rough, pitted surface. Thick, uneven masses of hair frame the head, with a heavy section swept across the forehead. Deep, dark hollows form eyes on either side of a broad nose. Textured ridges below the nose suggest a closed mouth. The metallic surface glints under the light, highlighting the heavily textured, varied forms.
