Description

In addition to the rare bound volume, the museum owns individual impressions of prints from The Apocalypse.
A vertically oriented oval engraving in dense black-inked fine lines depicts Saint John the Evangelist with a light skin tone seated on a many-headed dragon in a columned hall. He looks left with an eagle behind him, while a winged lion and calf stand by a desk. Above, three figures with light skin tones, including Christ, sit on clouds around an open book. Latin text curves along the top.
