A vertically oriented hanging scroll with ink and color on paper depicts a monkey with thick, fuzzy fur hanging from a spindly branch. Occupying the lower half, the monkey reaches upward, mouth agape and eyes wide. Delicate branches with scattered tan leaves and small green buds descend from the upper left. Calligraphy and two red seals mark the lower left corner against a misty, neutral background.
