Description

This enigmatic image portrays a mother attending to her child who is sprawled on the ground in a public park. The monumental size of the pair compared with other visitors to the park is characteristic of the artist’s manipulation of scale and perspective.
A horizontally oriented color lithograph depicts a park using loose, scribbled lines. On the left, a large figure in a striped blue, white, and red garment bends over a child on a vibrant yellow field. A bright orange ball sits in the center foreground. Receding to the right, small figures in dark clothing gather under a pale sky. Faint yellow and blue lines sketch a distant bridge. A signature marks the bottom right.
