Description

The impression of the oak leaf is unique, as are the other nine leaf ornaments engraved by this master.
A vertically oriented engraving in black ink features an L-shaped decorative pattern of stylized foliage on light-colored paper. From a bulbous base at the bottom right, a thick stem curves upward and left, sprouting deeply lobed leaves with curled edges. Fine hatching creates shadows, providing a three-dimensional effect. A small monogram is centered below the upper branch. The composition is defined by intricate, scrolling lines and rhythmic organic forms.
