A horizontally oriented oil painting with visible, horizontal brushstrokes depicts a harbor in muted gray and beige. In the lower right, a small green rowboat with yellow accents floats near a low wooden dock. Beyond the expanse of water, a long pier stretches across the horizon, supporting clusters of buildings and ship masts under an overcast sky with faint plumes of vapor. The artist's signature is visible in the bottom right.
