Description

The scene of a conversation between two lovers is set within a bedchamber, golden curtains pulled up. The heroine sits on the bed, with three long-necked wine vessels on the wall behind her. A brass ewer for washing with water is on the floor behind the bed.
A vertically oriented tempera painting depicts a man and woman within red walls. On our left, a woman with light skin tone in a blue skirt sits on a yellow patterned dais, gesturing toward a mustachioed man on our right with a dagger at his waist, wearing a gold headpiece. Above them, a white domed structure sits beneath a yellow text block. A floral band lines the bottom, and a red border frames the work.
