A horizontally oriented ink painting in dark, muted tones depicts a rugged mountain landscape. Dense brushstrokes form craggy outcrops and thick clusters of trees. A zigzagging covered walkway spans the foreground, leading toward a pavilion where a figure sits. To the right, a waterfall descends from high cliffs. Vertical columns of Chinese calligraphy and red square seals occupy the upper left and lower right corners against the cream-colored paper.
