Description

These pinnacles were originally set on top of a multipanel altarpiece that has now been lost. The angels' gestures and glances suggest that they were placed to the left and right of a central image.
A triangular tempera and gold painting depicts an angel with a light skin tone. Centered against a gold leaf background, the figure has curly brown hair and a large, patterned halo. They wear a pink robe over a dark tunic, resting their right hand on their chest and holding a thin rod in their left. Dark wings spread behind the angel, who faces slightly right within a gilded frame.
