Description

Before Khujasta can leave to meet her lover, Tuti the talking parrot begins to tell her a story of the conference of eighty wise men and the infant prince who was judged by his musical tastes.
A manuscript page features black and blue Persian calligraphy below an upper painting of a woman gesturing toward a green parrot in a cage. She wears a red skirt, white top, and sheer veil. Densely patterned purple walls and flooring extend behind her next to an alcove with a floral bed. Below, rectangular blocks are filled with script. The scene is framed by a red border under a sky of blue and white dashes.
