A vertical page of warm cream paper features rows of flowing Persian script in black ink. The calligraphy is organized into horizontal lines and two-column blocks of verse. Thin borders of red, blue, and gold frame the text. Small red marks are interspersed throughout the script. A vertical repair strip runs along the left edge. The black ink remains saturated against the textured, aged paper which shows subtle signs of wear.
