A vertically oriented, cream-colored paper features rows of horizontal black calligraphy in flowing, elegant strokes. Occasional words are written in red ink. The script varies in size, with larger lines at the top and bottom flanking smaller, indented lines in the center. A thin border of gold, red, and blue lines frames the text. Light brown staining and small tape patches mark the top edge of the aged paper.
