A vertically oriented page of aged paper features twelve horizontal rows of Persian calligraphy in black ink. Within a thin red and gold border, five long lines sit above two columns containing four short verses. Five additional lines of prose fill the bottom section. The fluid characters feature elongated strokes, with ink occasionally fading. Faint text from the reverse side bleeds through the sheet, while a dark stain marks the upper edge.
