Twelve rows of fluid black calligraphy traverse a vertically oriented tan page, with the uppermost line split into two sections. Encased in a thin border of red, black, and gold, the elegant script varies in weight across the weathered surface. Dark brown stains mark the top and bottom edges, while a small piece is missing from the lower center. The aged paper provides a warm, textured backdrop for the rhythmic ink.
