Description

Khurshid, kneeling on the right in the blue dress and orange cloak, has shaved her head and donned the robes of a holy man. A group of supplicants sit behind her. Below, the three men who wronged her seek cures for their ailments: Kaiwan holding a staff, has gone blind, Sharif has lost a hand to leprosy, and Latif has developed a palsy.
A vertically oriented tempera and ink painting depicts Persian script above a layered architectural scene. On the right, a figure in an orange robe kneels inside a pavilion with an intricate blue and yellow tiled dome. To the left, three seated figures look toward them. Below, three men stand before a red brick wall. Fine lines and vibrant geometric patterns in blue, red, and yellow decorate the architecture and floors.
