A vertically oriented page features thirteen horizontal rows of flowing Nasta'liq script, a style of Persian calligraphy, written in black ink on aged cream paper. The elegant text has elongated strokes framed by a thin orange border. Small clusters of four red dots punctuate several lines, and headings in red ink appear at the top and bottom. Subtle gold flecks highlight the top script. Faint text shows through from the reverse side.
