Black calligraphic marks flow in horizontal rows across a vertically oriented sheet of aged, tan paper. Delicate gold lines border the composition and partition it into three horizontal sections. A central grid of four small rectangular boxes contains tighter clusters of script. Hazy brown staining mottles the periphery of the sheet. Sweeping rows of ink fill the expansive sections above and below the grid.
