An ink and tempera painting on vertically oriented cream paper reveals thirteen lines of fluid, diagonal calligraphy. Curving strokes fill a central space framed by a thin red double border. Subtle swirling patterns in tan and yellow mottle the background, punctuated by small ornamental gold accents at the top and bottom. The ink lines vary in thickness, with delicate tails sweeping toward the bottom left against the textured, decorative surface.
