A vertically oriented manuscript page features eleven rows of fluid black Persian script on weathered tan paper. The top two rows are split into two columns by thin gold and red lines. A frame of gold, red, and blue lines borders the elegant calligraphy. Dark staining along the top edge and worn, textured margins suggest antiquity. The ink characters vary in weight, with thick, swooping horizontal strokes contrasting against the aged surface.
