A vertically oriented cream paper is inscribed with fifteen rows of black ink script, slanting downward from right to left. Faint blue-gray swirls of gum tempera pattern the background behind the delicate calligraphy. A thin gold border and double red lines frame the writing. The aged paper displays small brown spots of discoloration scattered across the composition.
