A vertically oriented ink and tempera painting on aged tan paper displays rows of black calligraphy. Gold lines divide the script into precise columns and registers within a thin red and gold border. A central rectangular section contains a faint, ghostly illustration of figures. The elegant, flowing characters fill the grid-like composition, while the paper's surface shows mottled staining and a warm, antique patina.
