One side of a vertically oriented manuscript page features thirteen horizontal rows of fluid black Persian script, written with ink and gum tempera. The elegant characters are framed by delicate borders of gold, red, and black, surrounded by a wide tan margin. Small handwritten notations are scattered between the lines and along the edges. The aged, warm-toned paper displays light spotting and a frayed bottom edge.
