A vertically oriented gum tempera and ink manuscript page features black Persian calligraphy on aged, tan paper. Rows of text are enclosed within a thin orange and gold rectangular border. Central to the layout, a single row is split into two smaller horizontal panels with select words highlighted in blue ink above. Visible staining and a piece of translucent blue tape at the upper right corner mark the page's surface.
