An ink and color painting on silk, mounted on a patterned cream border, depicts a gnarled tree rising from a rocky outcrop on our left. Two pale, long-tailed birds perch on a branch extending rightward over churning, foamy waves. Red square seals are stamped in the upper left and central right, punctuating the muted, sepia-toned composition. Small bamboo leaves sprout near the tree's textured base.
