A horizontally oriented oil painting is divided horizontally with a vast sky above a dark landscape. Thick brushstrokes of cream, tan, and pale blue create swirling clouds that fill the upper two-thirds. Below a low horizon, small white and brown dabs represent grazing animals. A row of dark trees sits right of center. In the foreground, a shallow pool reflects the luminous light from the heavy clouds above.
