A hanging scroll depicts a winter landscape with muted tan mountains. On the left, tall trees with white-dusted branches rise from rocky slopes. A gnarled tree leans toward the center, its twisted limbs dotted with small, briefly sketched birds. Two others fly across the hazy middle ground. Decorative patterned silk borders frame the top and bottom of this atmospheric scene, where snow-topped pines stand stark against the gray sky.
