Description

This print was published in La Caricature (June 18, 1843) as plate 24 from the series Review in Caricatures.
A vertically oriented black-and-white lithograph depicts a group of men with light skin tones in hatching, crowded around a central figure in a dark cloak and flat cap. The central man looks toward our right with a furrowed brow while figures in top hats thrust slips of paper toward him. On our left, a man carries a rectangular object. In the background, a sign reads MESSAGE beside a large carriage wheel on the right.
