Description

This print was published in Le Charivari (June 30, 1847) as plate 13 from the series Fathers.
A vertically oriented lithograph in sketched fine lines depicts full-body figures with light skin tones on a cobblestone street. A man in a top hat leans back as he carries a wailing child. Beside him, a woman wrapped in a dark shawl walks with her head bowed. Two more men walk in the distance. Text above reads "LES PAPAS," while a French caption is printed at the bottom.
