A vertical, rectangular album is bound in dark brown, polished wood with a visible grain. Four calligraphic characters, filled with gold-colored pigment, are carved in a vertical column on the front cover. The cover's outer edges are beveled, slanting inward. To the left, the thick edges of paper leaves fan outward from the spine. The standing album has a solid, heavy presence.
