A horizontally oriented ink and color painting depicts two sparrows on flowering branches on beige paper. On the left, a thick tree trunk curves upward, its branches bearing delicate white flowers and mottled green and yellow leaves. A sparrow with a reddish-brown cap perches on a central branch, looking down at another sparrow with an open beak clinging to a lower stem. Thin green strokes suggest grass below. A vertical crease divides the scene.
