A vertically oriented oil painting in thick brushstrokes depicts a crouched figure seen from behind against a shadowy brown background. The figure wears a patterned yellow jacket and dark blue garments, with a bright red cloth draped over their twisting torso. Their head is a featureless dark green oval. To our left, a hand is covered by dark fabric with gold and red ornamentation, emerging from the deep shadows.
