A gum tempera and ink painting on a horizontal palm leaf features dense rows of black script. The long, narrow tan surface is divided into three sections by thin vertical red lines. To our left of center, a circular hole is surrounded by a faint red circle. The leaf has frayed, irregular edges and a notched tear along the top edge. At the far edge to our left, a red circle contains two characters.
