A hanging scroll depicts a landscape in muted brown tones. In the main composition, a two-streamed waterfall drops between craggy cliffs sprinkled with twisted trees, dark dashes conveying foliage. Above, a pale section features vertical columns of Chinese calligraphy and red square seals. A thin strip of calligraphy is attached along the right edge. Fine, layered brushstrokes and subtle gradations of ink create the textured, atmospheric scene.
