A square-oriented ink and light color painting depicts a misty riverbank. A gnarled tree with spindly, twisted branches and dark dashes for leaves dominates the right foreground. To the left, a solitary figure sits within a thatched hut on a wooden pier. Patches of pale orange flowers and fine strokes of reeds gather at the base. Fine black calligraphy and a red seal occupy the upper left against a hazy, monochromatic background.
