A circular ink and color painting on silk depicts a dark-furred gibbon hanging by its long arms from a leafy branch. Its body curves toward a gnarled tree trunk on the right, which bears a red square seal and vertical calligraphy. Thin grasses grow at the base against a muted tan background. Faint horizontal lines suggest a distant horizon or water, creating a minimalist scene of suspended animation.
