A vertically oriented oil painting is composed of muted tones and depicts a tall, vaulted room with red lower walls. At our left, a seated figure in a white miter and robes receives a kneeling figure in dark robes. Numerous figures with light skin tones, clad in dark hooded cloaks, stand or kneel throughout. Framed paintings line the walls, and a tasseled banner hangs centrally while light streams from a window at the far end.
